I'm the singer of The Val Kelly Jazz & Soul Quartet - half of whom (Dom the 'mad professor' drummer & myself) hail from your neighbouring town - Forest Hill.

What to expect?
An entertaining mix of vocal led jazz & bossa greats, foot tapping hip swerving swing with a sprinkling of Soul. From Van Morrison, Dinah Washington, Nina Simone, Nat King Cole, George Benson, Sinatra, Dionne Warwick, Lionel Ritchie to Marvin Gaye..or for the jazz officiados amongst you - Jobim, Noel Coward, Cahn, Cole Porter...to mention a few..

We've been around..so to speak..really happy to have the opportunity to be seen locally.

Band highlights incl: Appearances at the Nice, Soho & Jazz FM Summer Festivals; support act to Dame Cleo Lane & Sir Jonny Dankworth and Rita Coolidge.

Many of you may have had the opportunity to catch us at this years Forest Hill Day at the Horniman Gardens in June…here’s a chance to see us once again in a more intimate setting.

It'll be a good night...it's Free...and we will be doing all the work..so all you have to do is arrive and chill...how's that sound?[/size]
